Alison Hall: Former Lawyer turned Principal Psychologist, Feel Good 

Alison is Principal Psychologist at Feel Good, a strategic training partner to global organisations that empowers leaders and employees with the skills and mindsets to sustain healthy performance in themselves, their teams, and their culture. Feel Good achieves this by blending psychology and practical, multi-modal training and coaching that result in long-term behaviour change.

Alison's career began at Norton Rose Fulbright before later moving to Farrer & Co. Alison has an MSc in Organisational Psychology and is a member of the Association for Business Psychology, the British Psychological Society, and the Evidence-Based HR Forum.

Alison hosts Feel Good’s Reasons to be Radical podcast, in partnership with Lockton, exploring how law firms can build healthy performance cultures that benefit the people, the business and their clients.

Elizabeth Rimmer: Former Lawyer turned CEO, LawCare

Elizabeth is the CEO of LawCare, the mental health charity for the UK legal sector. She started her working life as a solicitor specialising in clinical negligence, practicing at Leigh Day. She joined LawCare from the Institute of Group Analysis, a membership and training organisation for group psychotherapists. Before that she headed up Alzheimer’s Disease International, a worldwide federation of Alzheimer associations. Elizabeth is Co-Chair of the Helplines Partnership (national charity for support and advice services) and a member of the International Bar Association’s Professional Wellbeing Commission and chairs the Commission’s regulatory and ethics committee.

 

Naomi Pryde - Partner and Head of Litigation, Regulatory & Arbitration in Scotland | Global Co-Chair Space Exploration and Innovation, DLA Piper

Naomi leads DLA Piper's Litigation and Regulatory practice in Scotland and is Global Co-Chair of the firm's Space practice. Her expertise lies in complex commercial litigation and arbitration across a wide range of sectors. Most of her work has an international element. Naomi is a Solicitor Advocate and is qualified as a solicitor in all UK and Ireland jurisdictions. Recognised with various professional awards, including Scotland's "Lawyer of the Year" in 2021, Naomi has been distinguished in UK-wide talent lists, she is consistently ranked by the legal directories and she notably featured in Law.com's "top female lawyers under 40".

Outside of private practice, Naomi seeks to contribute to the community: she is a charity ambassador for a number of charities and leads several international pro-bono projects.  She served as an elected council member for the Law Society of Scotland for eight years and is a founding member of its charity; the Law Scot Foundation.  Naomi was a co-author of the Mindful Business Charter's litigation charter and she is a founding member of Look Up & Beyond, a group committed to promoting diversity in the Scottish Legal profession.  She is also the proud mum of a boisterous four year old boy.

 

Sharon Glynn - Managing Director of Underwriting, Bond & Specialty, Travelers Europe

Sharon started her life as a solicitor specialising in professional negligence before moving in house to work in the claim team at Travelers Insurance.  6 years ago, Sharon moved into the underwriting team and is now Managing Director in the Bond and Speciality team where she has specific responsibility for the large law firm accounts.

Sharon is a co-chair of the Women and Allies Diversity Network for Travelers Europe and also sits on the Gender Inclusion Network committee.

 

Anna Forsyth - Former Lawyer & Senior Editor turned Risk Management Associate, Lockton LLP

Anna is a qualified solicitor and a member of the Law Society of Scotland team at Lockton. After qualifying in 2005 Anna spent 14 years as a practising family lawyer at a full service law firm in Edinburgh. Before joining Lockton she worked as an online editor authoring specialised professional support content for Scottish solicitors.

Anna’s role at Lockton focuses on providing risk management support to Scottish law firms. This includes producing resources for use by the profession and delivering training through presentations and bespoke workshops. Anna works closely with client firms, insurers, and the Law Society of Scotland to raise awareness of specific risk management issues and can provide support on all matters relating to the Master Policy.
