Meet the Speakers

Anders Langeland Johannessen | Chief Commercial Office - Global Marine - Lockton

Anders L.Johannessen is Chief Commercial Officer at Lockton Marine, bringing nearly two decades of experience across the global marine insurance and risk management sector. Before joining Lockton, he held senior leadership roles including CEO of Lockton Norway, Head of Special Risks at Lockton, and Managing Director at Edge Group. He also spent several years at the Norwegian Hull Club as Senior Vice President and Underwriter and began his career as a broker and Executive Director with NorthEdge. Anders holds a degree in economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

 

Adam Wright | Director - Ocean Special Risks

Adam Wright has 20 years experience in the marine insurance industry excelling in a variety of roles, reaching the position of Partner within JLT's Energy and Marine Division, subsequently joining Tigermar Gobal as Head of the company's office in the UK. 

In these roles Adam obtained a wealth of experience in handling major clients from all over the world; placing business into the London and International markets for a variety of different product lines as well as responsibility for portfolio management.

Currently Adam serves as Director of Ocean Special Risks; building a specialty of MGA based in London to serve the complex needs of businesses in the Offshore, Renewables, Maritime & Transportation sectors. Backed by A rated carriers, Ocean Special Risks focusses exclusively on coverages and risk structures which are not available from the mainstream marine and energy market.

 

Michael Reynolds | Partner and Product Head, Marine Hull and Liability - Lockton

Michael is a Lockton Partner and Product Head for Marine Hull and Liability, having joined Lockton in 2020. He has 40 years of Marine Insurance experience, having previously worked as a Marine underwriter in the London market, most recently at Chubb Global Markets where he was responsible for Hull, Yacht and Liability Underwriting.

Michael has also had various management roles and has been a member of both Joint Hull and Joint War Committees and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

 

Hans Terje Anonsen | Risk Management Director - SMT Shipping

Hans Terje Anonsen has over 50 years experience in marine insurance and shipping, working across the Norwegian and London markets as well as internationally. He served as Chairman of two ILU cies, represented IACS, advised the DNV Board of Directors, and was Chairman of Cefor for eight years. Earlier in his career, he worked as Global Chairman of Aon Marine for 7 years, and for the past 21 years he has been Risk Management Director at SMT Shipping. Whilst at SMT shipping Hans also serves on the board of directors of shipping cies and has been President of captive insurance cie since 2004.
